Table Plan Editor
The Table Plan Editor allows Admin users to visually arrange and customize table layouts within the establishment.
It provides a drag-and-drop interface that defines how tables are displayed and interacted with on the Home Screen.
Access Requirements
Only Admin users can access the Table Plan Editor.
To access it: - From the Home Screen, open the Menu - Tap Table Plan Editor
Table Plan Editor Interface
Once the editor opens, the layout includes:
- Left Panel: List of available table images
- Center Grid: The editable table plan canvas
- Bottom Right Buttons:
- Save: Confirms and saves the table layout
- Cancel: Cancels the current action or placement
Editing and Managing Tables
- Select a table shape/image from the left panel
- Click anywhere on the grid to place the table
- Once placed:
- Click the table again to assign it to an actual table from the list of available tables
- Use the red button to delete the table from the visual plan (this does not delete the actual table)
- Use the + and – buttons (top left) to adjust the grid size and make room for more rows/columns
Working with Zones
- You can define multiple zones (e.g., Inside, Terrace, VIP) in the Admin Panel
- In the Table Plan Editor, switch between zones using tabs at the top
- Each zone can have its own distinct table plan
The All tab allows for a full-establishment overview plan.
Saving the Table Plan
- Once layout changes are complete, click Save (bottom right)
- The table plan will be saved for:
- The current device (register)
- All other devices in the establishment
Tip
Saving a table plan is a one-time setup step unless further changes are required.
Using the Table Plan
After saving:
- On the Home Screen, the blue “Table Plan” button (top left) becomes available
- Clicking this opens the visual table plan interface
Behavior:
- Use the tabs at the top to switch between zone-specific plans
- You can:
- Click on table icons directly to open them
- Or use the left-side list of tables
Warning
You can only open a table from the plan if a table number is assigned to it.
Tables without assigned numbers are non-interactive.
Note
After creating a table plan, you may need to restart the application once to enable the new plan view on the Home Screen.
Summary
- Only Admins can create or modify table plans
- Layouts are visual and drag-and-drop, with full control over table placement and zone assignment
- Saved plans apply to all devices and become accessible via the blue Table Plan button on the Home Screen
- A table must have a number assigned to be usable from the plan
