Icons

The Icons section manages the small pictograms used to label your menu — the icon shown on a product group, and the allergen symbols shown on products.

Icons are managed separately from the Media library because they are reused across your whole catalog and are translated into each language you serve.

Adding Icons

  1. Navigate to the Icons section from the left sidebar.
  2. Click Add icon.
  3. Drag and drop your icons into the upload area, or click it to browse. The area reads “Drag and drop your icons here or click to add”.
  4. Fill in the details for each icon (see below).
  5. Save.

Several icons can be added in one go. After saving, a confirmation reports how many were added, and how many could not be — for example because a name was already used.

Warning

A single icon file may not exceed 2 MB.

Icon Details

Each icon is described by:

  • Internal name – how you find the icon in the Admin Panel. It must be unique; using the same name twice in one upload is refused with “This name is used more than once”.
  • Category – what the icon is used for:
    • Group – icons for product groups
    • Allergen – icons for allergens on products
  • Name (FR), Name (NL), Name (EN) – the label shown to the customer, per language.
  • Preview – a visual check of the icon as it will be displayed.

Tip

Fill in all three language fields. The name shown to a customer follows the language they are being served in, so a missing translation leaves a gap in your menu.

Finding an Icon

The list can be searched by name and filtered by category:

  • All categories
  • Group
  • Ingredient

When nothing matches, the page shows No icons found.

Using Icons

Once created, icons become selectable where they apply:

  • On a product group, as the group's icon.
  • On a product, through its Allergens selection.

Summary

  • Icons are managed centrally and reused across products and product groups
  • Each icon has an internal name, a category, and a name per language
  • Group icons and allergen icons are kept apart by category
  • Files are limited to 2 MB each, and internal names must be unique
