Media
The Media section in the Admin Panel is used to manage the visual content that can be assigned to products and product groups, and reused elsewhere in the system. This centralized management ensures consistency and ease of use when adding visual elements throughout the application.
Note
This section was previously called Images. It now holds videos as well, which is why it is named Media.
Note
Media and Icons are visible to administrators only. See Users → Which Pages a User Can See.
Uploading Media
To add one or more files:
- Navigate to the Media section from the left sidebar.
- Click on Add Image.
- Drag and drop single or multiple files into the upload area.
- Click Save to upload them.
Each selected file is listed before you save, marked “will be uploaded on save”, so you can check the selection before it is sent.
Once the files are processed, they become available for use in other areas of the system.
Warning
A single file may not exceed 2 MB. A larger file is refused with the message “The file exceeds the 2MB size limit” — resize or compress it and try again.
Tip
You can upload multiple files at once to save time when preparing your product catalog.
Browsing Your Media
The library shows every uploaded file as a tile. Use the type filter above the list to narrow it down:
- All types
- Images
- Videos
Videos are marked with a badge on their tile so they are easy to tell apart from images. Click any tile to open the file full size — videos open with playback controls.
Using Media in Products and Product Groups
After uploading, files can be assigned to products or product groups through the respective configuration sections.
- When adding a product or product group, go to the Main image URL in https field.
- Begin typing the name of the uploaded file to search for and select the desired file.
Tip
It is recommended to use clear and descriptive filenames when uploading. This makes it easier to search and reference them later during product setup.
Using Media URLs in Settings
Each uploaded file is automatically assigned a unique URL.
This URL can also be used in other configuration areas, including the Settings page:
- To upload your establishment’s logo
- To display a logo on printed receipts or tickets
- To set the background or screensaver video of a self-ordering kiosk
Simply copy the URL and paste it into the appropriate field when configuring the settings.
Note
URLs generated here are reusable across the Admin Panel, including in the Settings section for branding purposes. This makes it easy to maintain visual consistency.
Best Practices
- Upload all required media before starting to configure your products or product groups.
- Name your files based on the product or group they represent (e.g.,
espresso.png,cold-drinks.jpg). - Avoid uploading duplicate or unnecessary files to keep the library organized.
- Keep videos short and compressed — the 2 MB limit applies to them as well.
Summary
The Media section streamlines the process of managing visual content across your menu. Uploading and organizing your files in advance will speed up product configuration and improve visual consistency across the POS application.
Icons used on product groups and allergens are managed separately, in the Icons section.
