Online Ordering

The webshop is your establishment's own ordering site. Customers browse your menu, build a basket and order for pick-up, delivery or eat in, paying online or on collection.

Orders placed there arrive in the POS application alongside the orders your staff take, and print in the kitchen the same way.

Warning

Online ordering must first be switched on for your establishment by your Posbel account manager, with the Online order activated setting. Only then does the Website tab appear in your Settings page for you to configure the shop. See Features Enabled by Posbel.

Note

Online ordering is available in the Belgian SCE-certified version as well as the International version. A webshop order is registered fiscally in the same way as one taken at the register.

How Customers Reach It

Three routes, depending on how you trade:

  • Your web address — the site is reached directly, on your own domain where you have configured one.
  • A QR code at the table — the customer scans and orders for that table. Once the order is finished, the site invites them to “Scan the QR code to order again.”
  • A link in an email — for example the payment link on an order awaiting payment.

What the Customer Can Do

  • Browse the menu by category, search products, and filter or sort by price
  • Open a product to choose its options, set a quantity, and add special instructions
  • Keep a wishlist of favourites
  • Apply a promo code
  • Choose an order type and a time slot
  • Pay online or on collection
  • Follow the order's progress afterwards

What You Control

Everything the webshop offers comes from your Admin Panel configuration — which order types appear, which payment methods, opening hours, delivery fees, minimum order amounts. See Configuration.

Tip

The webshop shows exactly what you have enabled and nothing more. When a customer reports that they cannot choose delivery, or cannot order at all, the answer is almost always a setting rather than a fault — start from the Configuration page.
