First-Time Setup
The order below matters: each step depends on the ones before it. Working through it once, in sequence, avoids most of the "why can't I select that?" moments later.
Everything here happens in the Web Admin Panel, also called the Back Office. If you have not signed in yet, start with Signing In to the Back Office.
1. Check Your Establishment Details
Settings → Organization. Your name, VAT number, address, phone and contact email. These print on tickets, so get them right before anything is printed.
The address is entered through a search — type your street and number and pick from the suggestions, or the page will not save.
→ Settings
2. Set How the App Should Behave
Settings → App Settings. How payment, ordering and the home screen work: which payment types are allowed, what happens after an order is sent, whether the tables and takeaway sections are shown, whether the screen locks after a period of inactivity.
You can revisit these at any time — but the defaults shape everything staff do, so it is worth a pass now.
→ Settings
3. Create Your Printers
Printers. Add each printer with its address on your network, before you create the products that route to it.
→ Printers
4. Build the Catalog
In this order:
- Product Groups — your departments, and the printer each one routes to
- Media and Icons — the images and pictograms you will attach
- Products — inside their groups, with prices, VAT and options
A product cannot exist without a group, and a group cannot route to a printer that does not exist yet. Which is why printers come first.
→ Product Groups · Products · Menu Builder
Tip
Importing an existing catalog from a spreadsheet is usually faster than typing it. See Products → Importing Products.
5. Create Your Tables
Tables. Add your tables, optionally grouped into zones and given types. Then, on the tablet, draw the table plan so staff can tap a table on a map instead of picking from a list.
→ Tables · Table Plan
6. Create Your Staff
Users. One Register or Main account per tablet, and one account per member of staff with their own PIN.
Then decide what each person may do and see — abilities control both what they can do in the app and which Admin Panel pages they can open.
→ Users
Warning
A member of staff who needs the Admin Panel must be granted Admin Login first. Without it, no other ability has any effect.
7. Open the Doors
On the tablet: log in, start a shift, and take an order.
→ POS App · Shop Shift
