Main Menu
The Main Menu in the POS Android App provides quick access to additional tools and utilities. It can be accessed by tapping the Menu button located in the top-right corner of the Home Screen.
Role-Based Access
Menu options vary depending on the type of user currently logged in:
- Admin Users have full access to administrative and configuration features
- Server/Waiter Users see only the options relevant to their day-to-day role
Menu Options for Admin Users
Worker Shift
Opens the worker shift page for starting, stopping, or reviewing the user’s own shift.
Create/Edit your table plan
Enables creation and modification of the restaurant table layout, including positioning and zone assignments.
Print shift history
Allows browsing and printing of historical Z and X reports:
- Print Z Reports for completed booking dates
- Print X Reports for the currently running shift
Warning
This option is available only to Admin users.
Shop Shift
Used to start or stop establishment shifts (booking periods), including confirming whether the closing shift is the final one of the day.
Search Accounts
Looks up accounts beyond the current shift — the way to find a receipt from an earlier service, by account number or by the details the customer can give you.
Note
Search Accounts is shown to administrator accounts, and to other users granted the Account search ability in the Admin Panel.
Print product barcodes
Opens the barcode label screen, for printing scannable labels on a connected label printer. See Printing Product Barcodes.
User settings
Shows what the device is signed in as, tests printing, and holds the per-tablet display options. See User Settings.
Log out
Logs the current user out of the application.
To log back in, users must re-enter their Organization ID, Username, and Password — or tap the saved-account card on the login screen.
Note
Logging out fully resets the session and device state, requiring full credential re-authentication.
Summary
The Main Menu acts as the gateway to both operational tools and administrative controls.
It is context-aware and tailored to the permissions of the current user.
Tip
Encourage staff to lock the screen rather than log out, unless switching devices or users entirely — logging out ends the device session and requires a full login with credentials.
