Dashboard (Home Screen)

The Dashboard, or Home Screen, is the central interface of the POS Android application. It provides a live overview of current activity within the establishment — from open tables to takeaway orders and user session details.

Depending on the configuration defined in the Admin Panel, the layout of the Dashboard may vary. When all display options are enabled, the screen is divided into three primary sections:

1. Table Section (Left Panel)

This section displays all active tables in the establishment.

Features:

  • Table List: Shows the current state of each table (occupied vs. free)
  • Order Totals: If available, the total amount ordered per table is displayed
  • Zones: A list of Table Zones (configured in the Admin Panel) is shown at the top
  • Table Plan Button: If a table plan layout is configured, a "Table Plan" button will appear in the top-left corner of this section for visual navigation

2. Takeaway/Delivery Section (Middle Panel)

This section contains non-table-based accounts:

  • Takeaway and Delivery Orders: Displayed as open orders not linked to physical tables
  • Web Orders and Kiosk Orders: If the establishment uses a WebEshop or Self-Ordering Kiosk, these orders will appear here

Note

Web orders and kiosk orders are both supported in the Belgian SCE-certified version. An order placed on the webshop is registered fiscally in the same way as one taken at the register. See the Kiosk section for kiosk ordering.

Warning

Under certification, an online order cannot be added to an account whose sale has already been registered — “You cannot order after the sale has been completed.” The customer's order arrives as a new account instead.

3. Status & Controls (Right Panel)

The right-hand panel provides a mix of real-time system status, navigation tools, and session management.

Top Section (Control Cards):

  • Current Worker Shift Card: Shows the currently active user session
    Clicking this card opens the Worker Shift page
  • Time and Date: Displays current local device time
  • Lock Button: Locks the screen and returns to the PIN login screen
  • Menu Button: Opens the main menu drawer, with access levels based on user type:
    • Server/Waiter users see only limited options
    • Admin users have full access, including advanced features like reports and configuration
  • Open register: Opens the cash drawer manually, outside of a transaction

Note

The Open register button can be taken away from a user with the Hide cashbox button ability in the Admin Panel. When that ability is set, the button disappears from the Home Screen and from the payment confirmation screen, so the drawer can only be opened as part of a payment.

This restriction applies to every user who has it — including administrators.

Note

The Lock button is only present when Pin lock is enabled for your establishment with a timeout greater than 0. With Pin lock off there is no way to lock the screen manually. See PIN Login.

Note

Automatic cash drawer opening applies to Register and Main devices only. On a device signed in with a personal account, the drawer does not open by itself at the end of a payment.

Bottom Section (Account History):

  • Recent Activity: Lists the most recently opened accounts (tables or takeaways) during the current booking period
  • Search Accounts: If an admin user is logged in, this option in the menu allows searching for any account from the current shift

Summary

The POS Dashboard serves as the main operational hub for staff and managers. It provides:

  • Real-time visibility into table and order statuses
  • Quick access to worker shift management
  • System-wide navigation and utilities (printing, register access, account lookup)
  • Adjustable layout based on Admin Panel configuration

Tip

The Dashboard adapts based on user role and system setup — ensure permissions and layout preferences are properly configured in the Admin Panel.
