What Is Posbel

Posbel is a point-of-sale system for restaurants, bars and takeaways. It is made of five parts that share one catalog, one set of staff accounts and one stream of orders.

You will not use all five. Most establishments run the first two.

The Five Parts

The Admin Panel, also called the Back Office, runs in a browser. See Signing In to the Back Office for the address and how to log in. The POS app, the kitchen display and the kiosk are all the same Android application, behaving differently depending on the App Mode set on the user that is logged in. The webshop is a website your customers visit.

How They Fit Together

Everything is configured once, in the Admin Panel, and used everywhere:

  • A product you create appears on the tablet, on the kiosk, on the webshop and on the digital menu.
  • A user you create can log into the tablet, and — with the right abilities — into the Admin Panel.
  • An order taken on the tablet, on a kiosk or on the webshop lands in the same place: the accounts list, the kitchen display, the kitchen printer, and your reports.

Two Versions

Posbel comes in two versions, and a few features differ between them:

  • Belgian SCE-certified — for establishments subject to Belgian fiscal certification. Sales are signed by a fiscal module, and some operations are constrained accordingly.
  • International — everywhere else.
